Give thanks for turkey and shotguns

Monday, November 29th, 2004

Well, Thanksgiving has come and gone. We’ll have to wait another year for some good turkey. Our trip to Missouri was pretty good. We successfully crammed 17 people into one fly-infested farmhouse, shot skeet with the 12-guage .30-06 shotgun, shopped until we dropped, visited with our 3rd cousins “what that it was,” watched “How the [...]

Oh how I loathe christmas shopping

Wednesday, November 24th, 2004

4 stores and $150 later, I arrive home completely exhausted and overwhelmed. I had one night only – tonight – to get my Christmas shopping for my extended family. Every other year we celebrate Christmas at Thanksgiving because we’re all together. And this is the year. We’re heading up to Missouri (in the nice big [...]

Kim High Maintenance Walden

Tuesday, November 23rd, 2004

Why are women so high maintenance? I say this only because I am high maintenance. A perfect example is buying beauty products or toiletries as I like to call them in my budget. I have a $50 budget for toiletries which are supposed to include toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies, shampoo, makeup, etc. Peter [...]

Hi. My name is Kim and I'm a workaholic.

Friday, November 12th, 2004

I don’t remember the last time I had a free evening. I have been working every single night for at least 2-3 hours. And no, it’s not for my regular 9-5. It’s for my freelance work. I’ve taken on about 4 big projects in the last month. I’m completely worn out.

But BLING BLING baby, I [...]

Me and Ken Starr, baby!

Friday, November 5th, 2004

Ken Starr came to OC and spoke. It was a good time. Usually they never let me go to the fancy dinners @ $100 bucks a head (even when I did most all the promo materials), so thanks OC!

Dan Rather's Metaphors on Election Night 2004

Thursday, November 4th, 2004

I have looked forward to this night for four years – just to hear Dan Rather’s off-the-wall metaphors about the election. Here they are:

“Do you hear that knocking…President Bush’s re-election is at the door.”

“This race is hotter than the Devil’s anvil.”

“His lead is as thin as turnip soup.”

“This race is humming along like Ray Charles.”

“The [...]
